BACKGROUND
Acts 3 follows a similar pattern to Acts 2. When they went to
the 3 p.m. prayer time at the temple, there was a miracle performed "in
the name of Jesus Christ" before the Jews. Then, the people were in awe
and amazement, and Peter used the opportunity to proclaim Jesus to the people
of Israel by using the Old Testament Scarlet
Thread of Redemption to back
up his sermon. He concluded this sermon by quoting what we learned in our Bible
Book Club study of Genesis: through Abraham's seed "all the families of
the earth shall be blessed" (Genesis 12:1-3; 22:18).
For those of you who have made the entire Bible Book Club journey, you will be so glad you made the commitment to read through the
whole Bible when you see how important it is to know the Old Testament to
understand the New! If you have not done this, you are welcome to do it in the future.
REFLECTION/PRAYER
Review some of the key Old Testament stories in The Scarlet Thread
of Redemption. Could you share this with a person who was seeking to understand
why Jesus came?
Share it with a seeker or share it with a believer so that you can
get comfortable sharing it. The believer will be blessed. I guarantee it!
Here is a folder of stories that I have created. They are not professional, but it is so fun to tell these stories to others:
PRAYER
Lord, thank You that Your Word fits together from beginning to
end! I am in awe and amazement about Your plan for all peoples of the world.
Use us to accomplish Your purposes. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

I love understanding the Scarlet Thread. It makes all this so meaningful and something no human being could have ever imagined!
