LINK: Job 29
BACKGROUND
Zophar should be sharing his "wise" advice for this 3rd cycle, but there is only silence. Job fills the void and speaks like a lawyer giving his closing arguments to a jury. Job 29 is a review of Job's "Good Old Days" when he was blessed by God, his family was all alive, and he enjoyed respect from those in his community.
There is no REFLECTION or APPLICATION today.
PRAYER
Lord, help us to forget what lies behind and reach forward to what lies ahead, the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14). Lord, we want to know You, the power of Your resurrection, and the fellowship of Your sufferings; being conformed to Your death (Philippians 3:10). We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
